Printing is a process for reproducing text and image, typically with ink on different type of media. All the process are carried out in a printing press. The printing process can be divided into 3 main sections. The main sections are Digital, Digital Offset & Offset Printing. These sections have different type of equipment and are used for different printing jobs. These printing jobs can vary from quantity, quality, size, colours, resolution and medium on which one needs his printing. The printing process begins from as little quantity of 1 item up to millions of the same item. Quality is a very important thing and the 3 main sections of printing have nearly the same quality but every section has its own type of quality. Size can vary from A7 up to a very large size like billboards or a facade of a building. The colour process is a CMYK (Cyan - Magenta - Yellow - Black) based or Pantone Colours (a custom made colour). Printing resolution vary from the type of job but its normally used as 300 dpi (Dots per inch) and up. Printed media like paper is mostly used but one can print on canvas, sticker, plastic, wood, metal, etc.
